Boric acid, also known as hydrogen borate and orthoboric acid, is a weak acid chemical compound. It commonly occurs as a white powder or colorless crystals and has a texture similar to that of talcum powder. Boric acid is a natural derivative of boron and is found in certain minerals and in the water of some saline springs.
